Hi folks
What an amazing song this is?... the song is "complete".. pallavi, anupallavi, 3 charanams.. with a lovely music score and variety to match the lyrics and beautifully sung by the MQ (Melody Quee). I am sure would figure high on many people's favorite list.. : )
There is a saying that "music is the silence between two notes".. and this song stands testimony to that saying... Creative thinking and use of the pauses
I have given a few points between the lyrics of the song... I am not very conversant with the instruments etc... but I can say that I am an ardent listener : ))
I request people here to add their "views" as well

itself is set to 2 different beat patterns)

is no tabla roll into the charanam - just 3 notes to end the interlude and give way to
the 1st charanam)

Hi Andy,
That's a good analysis of the song. After the charanam, subsequent to the "toon toon tuta tun (in mandolin), zu zza zza zoon (in violins)", and again "toon toon tuta tun (in mandolin), zu zza zza zoon (in violins) - in a different tone", there is a wonderful Flute bit "fu fa fufu fu fu fufa fufu fufa fufu fufa (ending with a violin piece)". Hope you are able to make it out (I am just reproducing from my memory - as this song has not been heard for years - not shown in any of the channels).
Bye,
Venu Soundar |
