People seem to be forgetting the contribution of TKR to the success of the V-R era, the Golden era of TFM. There is scant mention of him and his contribution. Even MSV does not mention much about him. It is really bad! I have talked to many old musicians who played for years for them and I have heard stories about TKR's controbution. I wish people give due credit to TKR.

We all know that TKR was associated with MSV for a long time and he could not able to succeed after separation. No one able to give clear answer HOW MUCH HE CONTRIBUTED and why he was not able to shine (if so knowledgeable).

Dear timsridharan

Your charge is nothing but a mere blame.

It is the greatness (perundhanmai) of Mellaisai Mannar, to kept him as his equal partner. Actually TKR is fit to be an assistant only for MSV, same like Hendry Daniel, Govardhanam, G.K.Venkatesh, Shanker-Ganesh, Joseph Krishna etc.

But he gave equal partnership for him in the movie titles.

Everybody knew what happened after their seperation. MSV continued his career in bullet speed, when TKR became nothing. Only Director Ramanna gave him life in Naan, Moondrezuthu, Thangasurangam etc, but he could not sustained. Ramanna again came to MSV for his Sorgam, Ennaipol Oruvan, Baghdad Perazhagi etc.

TKR made hit only one song in Marakka Mudiyuma (kaagidha odam) that too because it was written by Karunanidhi. Then again he failed in Vaaliba virundhu, Nilgiri Express which are all bundles....

He could not able to survive not even to the level of MSV's assistants Shanker Ganesh or to the level of V.Kumar or T.R.Papa.

But MSV ruled the cine music world, where even KVM was next to him.

So, it was well proved, because of whom the songs were become success when they were doing together (1950 to 65), it was by MSV only.

TKR got the credit more than his ability.

(The atmost mistake MSV done was, joining with TKR again in Engirundho Vandhaan (not 'vandaal').

while the love for guru is there wih everyone ,undermining another is in bad taste.
tirutani muruga by soolamngalam sisters in nilagiri express is a astonishing number
bringing him down to the level of assistants is most unfortunate .
sorry.

[color=orange]Dear Bhaskar,

You are absolutely right. The very purpose of launching this website is to honour the rarest of gems ever produced by this country - MSV. Sometime back there was too much of mud slinging of others and after careful study of those postings the Core Crew decided to delete controversial postings. Members please understand, the Greatness of MSV needs no comparison absolutely that too in an open forum like this. Well every one is entitled for freedom of expression between 2 persons but not in this forum. I hope there will be some restraint / caution excercised by members when they do their postings. Kindly avoid street fights here.

Honestly, this topic is unwarranted

This destroys the very spirit of this great website . Really sad to see such threads.

The Master MSV himself will be extremely upset if he sees such a ridiculous topic . Disgusting to see .

Well, this website is not like other usual websites where there is room for stupid arguments & needless pricking on legends of yesteryears.

Nobody denies the great contributions of Shri TKR , a genius .

MSV always used to call it A TEAM WORK. Hope this explains everything .

LETS SHARE & ENJOY THE DIVINE MUSIC OF MSV AND THATS THE MISSION OF THIS WEBSITE.

Dear All,

After all these years of profound musical offerings, MSV is not at all trapped into any type of controversy whatsoever. This platform, when MSV himself is not a party to it , (Only MSV fans are responsible for the articles and not the MASTER) should not bring MSV into an embrassing situation. People who know about MSV would know the kind of respect he has for TKR Sir.

As Bhaskar CS said, we should not use this platform to demean anybody. Anybody willing to post the contribution of TKR, let them post on their own accord. At the same time, just because, they have not succeeded as the Music Directors, we can not underestimate the work and contribution of the great Hendry Daniel, Govardhan , Joseph Krishna and for the matter genius G.S Mani. Even MSV, with all his humility, would say his is a team work.

If success is the only yardstick of mastery over any art, how will you evaluate the knowledge of Danraj Master whom every body including Illayaraja considered as Genius. How will u evaluate the great genius C.S.Sankara Siva Bhagavathar who is my Paramaguru. He had produced gems of musicians Ramnad Krishnan, Ramnad Easwaran, Ramnad Lakshiminarayanan (Father of violin trio L.Vaidhyanathan, L.Subramaniam and L.Sankar) and the great T.N.Seshagopalan. The great Van gogh did not see any success in his lifetime. He sold just only one painting in his life time.

With regards to everyone

It is really disgusting to see a topic like this. If anyone feels that any Legend of yesteryear has been forgotten, please open a topic and mention the greatness of the Legend. There are different sections for that in this Forum.

Please visit the following link and see the very first photo where Sri.T.K.Ramamoorthy gracing the occasion of MSVTimes launch function.

http://www.msvtimes.com/home/launch/launch.html

Please bring out the good memories of the Legends who have worked together as a team, their contributions that are to be cherished, rather than starting some topics like this.

I personally feel this kind of expression of regrets in the Official website of MSVTimes is completely unwarranted.

I re-state the mission of MSVTimes, yet again, here...

"MSV Times", a tribute to the Legend MSV, aims to provide complete source of information on MSV and a deep insight to his Immortal Music, to all his fans across the globe.
