A nice pick .

U r right. Normally , everyone will go for the super hit songs in this movie which really overshadowed this different song !

I have seen the movie & the song is positioned in a nice way . MGR never misses an opportunity & this song is situation oriented . Its for KRVijaya .

As Saradha has mentioned, தாடிக்காரர் சர்வ நிச்சயமாக லேசில்லை. He has positively competed with Kaviyarasar and I can safely say, Vaali is yet another great Kavignar with a unique dimension of his own!...

To my knowledge, he has intensively used the ஈற்று இயைபுத் தொடை நயம் (two Lines of the Lyrics finishing in a rhyme) and he has done this much more consistently than Kaviyarasar.

Eg : From மன்னவனே அழலாமா

இன்னொருத்தி உடலெடுத்து இருப்பவளும் நானல்லவா
கண்ணெடுத்தும் பாராமல் கலங்குவதும் வீணல்லவா!...

நானல்லவா and வீணல்லவா constitute the தொடை நயம். And, when such assets have given their glorious Lyrics to our Genius for Musical enhancement, what more can humanity expect?

I consider this simultaneous evolution of Superlatives in Tamil Film Music as the most supreme blessing God has chosen to bestow on to us!
