Dear All,
Mr.Suresh has been writing a series of articles on his blog on how the Master's musical journey took off, his gradual growth, the peaks that he had touched and the final years ..
Its a wonderful presentation !
Mr.Suresh also has chosen some pick amongst the very best of MSV melodies spanning across various period.
He has also analysed the trend , the shift in the musical presentation etc..
The memorable travel he had with TKR , the unforgettable melodies...alll have been touched upon

Thank you Mr. Balaji.
I went through some posts. He says MSV was influenced by RD Burman. He has given some examples also. I am not inclined to accept this.
People like you, Vatsan, Murali, Sai saravanan etc. who have extensive music knowledge, should be able to counter this.

MSV drew inspiration from the compositions of Sachin Dev Burman and
Naushad Ali - this he has said in an interview. MSV never copied style
of any Hindi film music directors to my knowledge. In that interview he has said he liked the style of compositions of Naushad and SD Burman repeat SDB not RD Burman. |
