Dear Friends,
As a part of our recalling the glorious era of TFM, we are obliged to consider the SUPREME STATUS enjoyed by the duo when they were nearly constant entries in TFs irrespective of every other criterion like Producer Director, Actors Technicians and such other domains like story/dialogue etc.
Beginning with Bhimsingh[ Buddha pictures and later Sun beam ]many names float through his 'PA' series, Houses of AVM, GEMINI, SATYA , KSG's Karpagam studios, Madhavan's Arun Prasad, Sivaji productions , Balaji' Sujatha movies, KB's Kalakendra, Muktha films, Pantulu's Padmini pictures, Velumani's Saravana films, Veerappa's PSV pictures, Kovai Chezhiyan's 2or more production houses, Sridhar's Chitralaya Nagi Reddy's Vijaya Vauhini and the early products of Modern theatres [Salem] all had MSV as their trusted MD with lone exceptions being Vijayalakshmi pictures of AP Nagarajan, and Devar films and Dhandayuthapani pictures of Sandow MM Chinnappa devar, not to mntion the likes of NS Krishnan, Kannadasan and SMALL TIME PRODUCERS -a host of them.
Even more baffling is the fact that, Kannadasan was the lyricist for all these movie houses.
That KD- MSV broke into the iron fort of Gemini for their Tamil movies from 1965 on, stands testimony to their wholesome appeal across south India. Also, we now know that had it not been for MSV's mom advising of righteousness, MM C Devar would have engaged MSV for his later movies at least. In fact the duo churned out WHOLESALE HITS movie after movie from all these movie houses and I INTEND GIVING SUCH A LIST MERELY TO RECALL THAT IT WAS A MAGNIFICENT Achievement to have handled all those themes which were quite demanding having to portray character unlike the cacophony that we witness in the name of songs in TF now.
