Dear Mr. Ram
Exactly six months have elapsed since your last posting on 01-01-10 informing us of the induction of Mr.Ragasudha as co-moderator of our forum.
But then your silence is both deafening and saddening. It is more than surprise to all of us in the sense that even 6 months back you had piled up 1051 postings staying at numero uno slot as the biggest contributor; you remain so till date. Certainly you have been a rich contributor. With so much to your credit, suddenly you have shrunk into the shell.

Even more inexplicable has been your silence about our book on MSV.

Hopefully this is an ephemeral phase of 'silence in your forum activities' only to soon come back with redoubled vigour. Hope, I am not asking for too much , since writers of all shades alone can keep the forum vibrant for any visitor. I trust my request is well placed.

Dear Professor (and everyone),

Thanks for pulling me in, to post here with your post! I totally agree that a sudden silence of anyone adds a mystery & this post, probably, is the right opportunity to clarify things. And to clarify first, there is no change in my outlook or the passion for the website or our MSV. It still remains the same & it will ever be so!

Though early this year there had been quite some changes on my personal & professional front, like new work location, shifting, new set of people etc, I would not attribute my silence completely to that. As you have mentioned, I have been posting fervently with MSV song analysis, but actually in the process I also discovered the lack of knowledge and in the things that I need to learn in Music. And I felt a strong need to move forward in Music and I usually trust these deep feelings, as it is because of a very similar feeling, I came up with this website in the first place. So I have no other option, but to be honest with my deepest feelings.

So the silence is not because of some distraction or life compulsion and those silly reasons reasons cannot get me to not post or write here. The decision was (is) by choice. So my act is not moving away, but moving deeper.

I think I have expressed my sincere gratitude to you on the onerous task you and others have put in, even before the book release happenned. Nevertheless, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank one & all again for compiling the wonderful collection of articles, which flowered as book!

But again, from now on, I will post a little more frequently than being completely silent. Thanks for all the support everyone. I will be in touch!
