Dear Friends,
Gowravam was a landmark movie in the history of Tamil films. The great combination of MSV, Kannadasan & TMS, have given their best in this great movie. I would like to share some interesting information about the song " Paalootti vakarttha Kili ".
This song by TMS was recorded after the picturisation of the same. It was a unique experience for TMS to sing the song while it was being projected, synchronising with the lip movements of Nadigar Thilakam. When the song was to be recorded TMS was away on a tour to S. Africa. This song was recorded in Mellisai Mannar's voice & picturised as the movie was to released fast. Another version of the song in Kovai Soundara Rajan's voice was recorded & the producers were toying with idea of releasing the movie with this version. However better sense prevailed & they waited for TMS. The rest is history.
Can anyone imagine this song in any other voice. Even Nadigar Thilakam must have acted with TMS in mind.
