Even the other heroic song in the film, "Ithu Nattai kakkum kai; En veetai kaakkum kai" was also written by "Muthulingam" only. This song was also a famous election song in that period.

Dear Mr vk,
Nice to see you posting on some of my references to how new writers would take serious efforts to get a recognition. All I intend saying is for MGR or MM it would have been one of those daily routines but a new comer will necessarily hold everything in very high esteem. I choose to differ from one of your observations, that the MD could have thrown off the new lyric and lyricist. It has never happened in the life and career of MSV for, to-date he retains in mind what is "life" for any one. How MSV tuned and groomed Valee [is an abject lesson for all to learn] despite the fact that Kanadaasan and MSV were the thickest friends that TF industry has ever witnessed or would perhaps ever witness.

he had a bad experience where he had negated pattukottai for some reason but when he read the song he felt bad that he did so .

Dear Usha
Thanks for writing about this song. no words to describe this composistion and that too for THATHUVA PADAL. I am wondering why POOVAI SENGUTUVAN not contributed much to TFM after this wonderful song. If we ask MSV he will say ELLAM AVAN SEYYAL.
ALL TIME GREAT COMPOSISTION. LONG LIVE MSV.
regards

Dear Ramesh,
It is true Poovai Senguttuvan did not write more songs with our Mellisai Mannar.
But he wrote some more songs in APN films, in compossing of Kunnakkudi Vaidhyanathan. Some movies he wrote songs are:
Vaa Raja Vaa
Thirumalai Thenkumari
Agathiyar
Karaikal Ammaiyaar
I hope the famous song 'thaayir chirandha kOyilumillai' in Agathiyar was penned by Poovai Senguttuvan. _________________ Saradha Prakash |
