Mayor Meenatchi was one MOVIE which ran to packed houses and one of the main reasons was Mellisai Mannar. All the songs became talk of the day. But the beauty was they were not kuthu type, folk type or fast type or rock type ..... each and every one was Melodious. And it reflected how far people were keen to hear good music and this song was a classic example. Susila's one of the best songs.
