Hi Ragasuda, thanks for this song. And what a song this is !!!! Simply great is MSV's tuning to a feeling and melodiously. Susheela, God, will I ever get to listen to his kind of a voice ever !!!! thEdi thEdi kAthhirunthAlum kidaikkAtha pAdal, kural enakku........ithu varayil. A few days back this was telecast on Vasanth TV. I remember discussing with our forum friends on why there is just this a droplet of melancholy permeating the song....it's there but almost not there. Subtle !!! The visuals of this song answered my question....while Saroja Devi is romancing with Gemini Ganesan, Vijayakumari is mourning. No wonder despite the festive feeling the song brought through, there was this very uneasy sense of "would this situation slip away from me" about the song...you know, a kind of lack of certainty about the positive happenings' permanence. How does the movie end ? Any calamities in store for Saroja Devi ? The song gives me this feel as well. Even as I write this, the uneasy feeling comes over, I certainly would not like to be in this situation in my life ever !!!
Master composer, a bundle of feelings this man and ofcourse, masterly singing as well. THanks once again Ragasuda !!! |
