Dear Sister Malathi,
Thanks. I am curious to know the song which LRE was mentioning. Is it possible for you to recollect?

Dear Murali,
Oh, that's a terrific number. All the songs of "Kalaik Kovil" are gems including "Mullil Roja", which is a "Thenil Uriya Roja" composed by our "Isai Raja" (Mellisai Mannar). Sister Malathi should definitely listen to this song as well as all other numbers from KK.
By the way, on 1st May night, Kalaignar TV was showing recording of a stage show organized to pay tributes to PBS for his serving the film industry for 50 years. I was delighted to see our Master present on the stage itself and every one including PBS, SPB & Yesudas touching His feet. To our thrill, the Master sang "Poga Poga Theriyum" with Anuradha Sriram.
MSV was also singing some "sandhams" (for "Nilavey Ennidam" and "Unnai Onru Ketpeyn") and asked SPB to identify the numbers. SPB could identify Nilavey.... but not "Unnai Onru...". Subsequently, SPB wonderfully sang "Nilave Ennidam...". PBS said that he could never forget the way MSV taught him that song and added he hardly sang 25% of what MSV taught him. Amazing!!!!
On 1st, Kalaignar TV ended the prog (when MSV left the show half way) without any further announcement. They have shown the continuation of this prog yesterday morng, which I could see only towards the end. I don't understand why they cannot publicise such progs in a proper way, so that fans like us do not miss watching it.
Regards,
Venu Soundar |

Veteran director SP.Muthuraman has only words of praise for MELLISAI MANNAN MS.VISWANATHAN who makes a come back with his music in Valiban suturm ulagam. "He achieved so much in an age without computers and modern technology. No Music director can escape his influence even today" feels Muthuraman.
Above information from Hindu. 15.05.09.

|

Dear Friends,
As most of you might have watched, this week (13th-17th July) it was the turn of Mr YGM in “Thirumbip Paarkiren” on Jaya TV. We all know that YGM is a great fan of MSV and he never misses out to mention in all his interviews that his first idol in cinema is Sivaji, and next is MSV.
As we have been puzzled earlier, suspecting “black out” of views expressed on MSV by various personalities, it has happened again in the case of YGM. YGM covered so many personalities from the film world, but there was not a single mention about MSV, which is shocking and further increases our suspicion on the channel’s foul-play.
Regards,
Venu Soundar
