Drar Mr.Ram,
Thank you for the brief report from "THE HINDU" on MSV's
receiving the "SANGEETHA SAEASWATHI' award. Very nice to hear of the proceedings on that occasion. Any event that stands to recognize MSV for his timeless music is as much a delight as his compositions. We also notice that all recognitions to Shri MSV have come from sources of a real high order, be it musicians, critics or spiritual leaders of the society. That signifies the concept that more than an award, the source of the award elevates the award and thw awardee. A happy moment indeed. My prayers for his well being for a long time to come.
Warm regards. Prof.K.Raman Madurai. _________________ Prof. K. Raman

I was leafing through the latest issue of Kumudam magazine yesterday at home. My wife and daughter wanted to know why I was suddenly "vaayellam pallu". I showed them what had suddenly made me break out into a wide smile - an article on MSV's Santhome area residence with quite a few photos of the legend himself. Looks like the Mannar's residence has undergone a major renovation.
Was listening to a couple of MSV masterpieces on my ipod while on my morning walk today - "Bhoomiyil irupadhum vaanathil parapathum" from Shanthi Nilayam and "Kuyilaga Naan Irundenna" from Selvamagal. How was it humanly possible for him to come up with 3-minute musical miracles like this?

Dear Mr.SVS,
Long time no see. I think almost a month.
"How was it humanly possible for him to come up with 3-minute musical miracles like this?"
I liked this line very much. 3-minute musical miracles...
Only our MSV can do such 1000s of miracles...
Greatly defined our MSV in a single line...
My sincere request on behalf of MSV Club Crew members...
Being at Bangalore, please do not BAN GALORE postings... _________________ Meendum Santhippom Viraivil...

Youtube link on the event :
http://youtube.com/watch?v=fd5t4ZX4fe4
MSV looks highly cheerful . His body language says ! look at the way he emphasizes the shakes for certain phrases !
Sivamani, VJ all there . TKR also there. VJ and PS in bits
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWWjrK2XiFk&NR=1
Another link . the great Shri Dakshinamurthy being honoured. and finally MSV being honoured...see how respectfully Sivamani claps !
and that visibly emotional MSV expressing his views....really touching moment. As he gives credit for all his success to his mentor, parents and troupe members, even the Swamiji applauds.
Ram , pls upload this |

Dear Mr Balaji, SVS and Ram,
I am very grateful to you for this information about our MSV being honoured. I saw the video clip on you tube thanks to the link. I was deeply moved by the simplicity of our Legend and the veneration with which he was treated by everyone. I could observe Sivamani running to the other side of the dais so that he could garland the Living God of Music, Sangeetha Saraswathy Shri MSV. I wish the whole recording was available.
Thanks once again,
Long live MSV.
