Dear Ram,

all photos are rare gems.

particularly when I was watching the photos when MSV & TKR felicitated, I feel about TKR (dont think I am degrading him) as "poovodu serndha naar". Yes, after he parted from MSV sir in 1965 (ayirathil oruvan), if he did not join with our Master after 30 years duration (engirundho vandhaan), these functions and respects from the cine music world will be not even in his dream (ettaatha kaniyaagave poyirukkum).

After his partition, our Master achieved well than before. His remarkable movies has come after MSV sir started to do individually.

So these felicitations (including Doctorate) are merely by luck for TKR, because of his rejoining with MSV sir.

Dear Ram and Friends,
All the photos have an enthralling impact on seeing the gems slowly receding from public gaze though not from memories per se. All the personalities are seen truly 'engaged' in the job on hand making the appeal longer lasting and deeper too. Seeing MM at work is always a delight, as he is always concwntration- personified. Thank you all for helping me travel down the memory lane submitting myself to the glorious past at least for a couple of minutes.
Warm regards. Prof.K.Raman Navi Mumbai

Very nice pictures. Many thanks to Mr.Ram for posting them. I was very pleased to see Mellisai Chakravarthy being honoured. I was also happy to see IR, ARR , SPB and my favourite singers TMS and PS all present at the function. But I do share some of Irenehastings' sentiments about TKR.

Regards

Dear All,

Photos are very rare. Really very happy to see all this.
I was very fortunate to attend the function Felicitation for "Mellisai Mannargal" - Viswanathan Ramamoorthy - June-2005.
I have seen some of the photos in the book "Mellisai Mannar MSV".

A pleasant reminiscence... Smile

Dear Ram,
The photo gallery was very illustrative. Thank you for the same. This is my first interaction as a member and hope to do so more often. I have attended the concerts of The Great MSV which had the full compliment of various instruments used in recording except the piano. It was a wonderful sight and experience. I hope some one has that collection. It would be great for younger musicians to get an inspiration to bring back the glory of his days with LIVE instruments which only MSV had mastered.

Dear Friends,
All of us are aware of the fact that NOA was a big trend setter in story telling and a path breaker in more than one way. The first ever movie where CVS availed of VR as the MDs for Chitraalaya banner. When most people of TN used to sign in English, as early as 1962, the entire crew has affixed their signatures in Thamizh including the likes of A Vincent , PN Sundaram besides Viswanathan. The point is people have been silently displaying their faith to the language unlike the vociferous claims of a few who do precious little to honour the language. Even more interesting is the following observation. V R were only known by their names and not by initials until much later than 1965 whereafter they segregated and only subsequently known as MSV or TKR though in this letter of 9-02-1962 most have clearly signed with their initials.
The culture of according the due weight to every wing of movie-making was seriously launched by CVS , hence such a kind of signed letter from his team to acknowledge the public patronage. Certainly they were giants.
Thanks for the opportunity.
Warm regards Prof.K.Raman Madurai.

Dear Ram,
A rare and nice collection. Really an unique ad.
During my nursery school days, I will be thinking that MSV's another name is Viswanathan Ramamoorthy. Then only I came to know that V R are two persons.

Dear Mr.VK,
Nice link you have provided where we see a rare arrangement of personalities who have been the best achievers in their domains, while they kept silent as pearls glowing all the time. The foundation for education in TN and green revolution in India owe themselves to Mr.C.Subramanyam who held his fort with impeccable honesty and highest dignity -in or out of office. The photo needs to be read with this response of mine. I need not speak of the others in the photo, as our friends know more than what I know of them.
Warm regards K.Raman Madurai.
