Dear friends ,
I am not referring to songs of the movie "NAAN" [MD TKR]. My compilation relates to songs composed by MSV where the song opens with the word 'Naan'. The list is not total and is very likely to expand as friends would certainly add to it.
Some of them are :
Naan Kavignanumillai
Naan oru kuzhandhai
Naan Thannanthanikkattu raaja
Naan anri yar varuvar
Naan Ungal veettu pillai
Naan Aanaiyittal
Naan uyara uyara pogiraen
Naan paesa ninaippadhellam
Naan paarththadhilae
Naan nanri solvaen
Naan unnai azhaikkavillai
Naan paadiya padal mannavan kaettan
Naan unnai chaerndha selvam
Naan enral adhu naanum avalum
Naan manthoppil ninrurindhaen
Naan 7 vayasilae ilani viththava
Naan yenna sollivittaen
Naan kettaen avan thandhan
Naan yaar naan yaar AND FOR A MINOR DEVIATION
Naam oruvarai oruvar.
I HAVE AVOIDED items where "naan" figures as the second word. My intention is to request our analysts to consider in detail as to how Mellisai Mannar has brilliantly handled this one letter "Naan" in all these situations. With my inability to analyse the musical nuances of raagas - all I can say is MSV [like a very accomplished Goldsmith] has drawn this one word into a fine thread of the LONGEST "NEDIL" to the SHORTEST "KURIL" just to infuse life into that otherwise "egotistic", agambavam-rich word NAAN. How he has pumped emotion and new life into that mundane term 'naan' is a distinct delight in each number even before his mesmerism through orchestration comes to posses us on each occasion. So, friends please come out with your analyses for our clan to enjoy. Thanks.
With warm regards Prof.K.Raman Navi Mumbai _________________ Prof. K. Raman

Hello Prof Raman
I meant I was bit enthusiastic and asked how to remove my own post.
My mistake in not reading through your first list.

I think our amkeew meant to remove his own post, as the songs were already listed by our Professor.
I just see a mis-communication here. Thats all. _________________ Ramkumar |
