Dear friends,
Not only Kannadaasan, our MSV has proved that he has the potential to extract all the hidden talents from any lyricist for that matter. This song is a perfect example full of literary value. This song, "Kanavugalae Aayiram Kanavugalae" is from the film Needhikku Thalai Vanangu. A teaching faculty by profession, Naa. Kaamraasan, who was till then known in the literary circles as a Tamil teacher and poet, in the Pudhu Kavidhai as well as Marabu Kavidhai genre, proved that film lyrics can be classical provided the lyricist has active part in it. Look into these lines:
Nagakkuri varaigindra chithiramo, muga naanangal dhoorigai vannangalo
Vizhi endru adharkoru thalainagaro, idhazh moodiya kottai kadavugalo"
Full song is of literary value. We will discuss this more later.

Dear Friends,
With due respects to Pulamaipiththan the lyricist, if we just browse the lines of the song, it somehow draws me to the memory of Karnan -"Iravum Nilavum valarattumae". What I perceive is, the close similarity in thought while trying to portray the caressing romance between the characters. This gives us another lead to consider. Despite the parallelism, MSV has elegantly tuned it to mesmerising flow, without letting a shade of resemblance to that Karnan Song. Certainly MM can carve out an entirely unrelated tune and orchestration to bring that absolutely "fresh" feeling. For average minds, the situation would be extremely cumbersome to come out of the earlier composition more so when the lyric words are so strongly resembling. Truly a great mind that masters the situation completing ignoring its own earlier creation, however great the earlier one had been! I hope our friends perceive this line of approach in MSV.

Dear friends,
The lyrics for the song Kanavugalae, aayiram kanavugalae was penned by Professor Naa. Kaamaraasan (I think he was teaching Tamil at the Pachaiyappa's or Presidency College, Chennai) and the song Indha pachaikillikoru sevvandhi poovai was penned by Pulamaippitthan. This may kindly be noted because some where it has been mentioned erroneously as Pulamaipitthan for the song kanavugalae.
