Just been imagining how would it be if MSV with a non-electronic instruments (something like Pudhiya Paravai band) plays in a closed hall. No electronic instruments Please. I remember people talking about some outlets in Kolkata where you can walk in and there will be few serious people sitting quitely and listening to old numbers. And this set up should be similar and there should not be anything more than 100-200 people.

One condition, HE should give details about birth of the song.

That must be fun right? Try and orgnaize. People who couldnt make it can see the same on this site.

Great to see yet another ardent fan into our "MSV Club" !!!

Yes... Our club will definitely would love to see that "Full-Orchestra" show of MSV's. The core crew is giving a serious thought on giving shape to that idea. Will update the Club once things start to materialise. Lets hope it happens, soon!!!

And finally,

Welcome dear Chithappa !!!

Dear all
Quite a sensible theme to organize with MSV as the prime MD and render all those numbers with singers who can verbatim play back as in the original. Here comes my serious suggestion. The forum should keep all the copy rights. The editing should be done in a way that a video will cater to six songs. Why I suggest this is besides closed circuit listening by rasikas of Chennai, these can be marketed through TV for a precise number of episodes with an agency on clear terms. The small video pieces will give exceptional marketing potential and the freedom to pull out from the draconian clutches of TV channels. Also, small pieces can be used to classify themes under different heads to safely avoid any encumberances of obligation to any TV channel. This is one way of popularising quality music especially among those in teens. A major portion of what ever procceds accrue from these may be happily extended to MSV as genuine appreciation of ours. It would be nice to consider all the prospects of plugging every loophole to avoid exploitation by marketing agencies. I am very confident that agencies will seriouly queue up to avail of the scope to reach wider clientele. I personally feel that this is one major way of paying back the genius. NRI fans of MSV can also suggest as to how best the theme could be executed. All clandestine efforts of playing down MSV can be also wiped out. Dear friends please consider the pros and cons with the noble intention of duly recognizing Mellisai Mannar.
With warm regards. Prof.K.Raman,Navi Mumbai
