Here are some more

Mani -- When we were scoring the music for "Nilave Ennidam Nerungadae" (`Ramu,') MSV produced, in just half-hour's time, at least ten different tunes, all excellent.

Musically forever

SPB. ``I don't believe MSV has done ghazals for the first time. He has done plenty in films; just that they weren't labeled as ghazals.''

SPB expressed his thankfulness to MSV for the opportunities that the composer had offered him

Thanks for adding more! Very Happy

There was a series in Hindu years back which had exclusive articles on K.V.Mahadevan, SPB, MSV, Illayaraja and ARRahman. Each article was a about a page. I'll try to find the date. The article on MSV was splendid. We need to find and include that one too!

Just a few more,

Balamuralikrishna felicitates MSV
http://www.hinduonnet.com/2004/01/04/stories/2004010410310400.htm

JayaChandran -- "M.S.Viswanathan is really a genius in music. If I could, I would crown him as the greatest music composer of the whole world, he has got a style of elegance combined with his tenure"
http://www.jayachandransite.com/html/difference.html

I wanted every singer to pronounce Tamil words correctly. Suseela and Janaki worked hard in that direction. — M.S.V.
Suseela's ``Thaedinean Vandathu" (Ooty Varai Uravu) prompted Janaki to remark that it was a favourite of her son, Muralikrishna, who raised his hand in acknowledgement from the sea of audience.
http://www.hindu.com/fr/2006/08/04/stories/2006080400250400.htm

What others say of MSV
------------------------------
“If M.S.Viswanathan is present at a Kanndasan show, it only means that Kannadasan is with us on stage now. Such was their bonding.”
http://www.thehindu.com/fr/2007/06/29/stories/2007062950620200.htm
http://www.chennaionline.com/film/tv/2007/06article24.asp

Bringing in the nuances of the intricate progression of some of MSV's compositions on stage with a limited orchestra is a challenge.

I think msvtimes should store all these links offline as we never know when The Hindu and others offload their content. We can have the same articles referred from this web site itself.

Dear Sriram,

It has been just three posts, but the value of the posts that you have posted in this thread cannot be measured. Hats-off!

And you are absolutely right in your request. We need to take all these articles from Hindu and post it here! I'll work on that.

Deva -- "You cannot come across a person as humble as MSV. I consider him my guru. I still remember the enthusiasm and joy with which he acceded to my request and sang the title song for my third film"

http://www.hindu.com/fr/2006/11/10/stories/2006111000220200.htm

Vairamuthu -- ``A HOT bath, my bed, a dimly lit room and MSV's soothing melodies... that is my ideal way of relaxing after a hard day's work...",

Dr. Sivaji Ganesan Memorial Award presented to Mellisai Mannar M.S. Viswanathan

Music for the Thevaram and Thiruvasagam songs and the background score are to the credit of the inimitable film music director M. S. Viswanathan, who has used both the ancient `panns' and light melodies to great effect.

This has been my favorite picture -- The Music Machine working on a new a raaga and the orchestration genius next to him. More and more I listen to

http://www.musicindiaonline.com/music/tamil/s/music_director.870/
OR
http://www.musicindiaonline.com/music/tamil/s/music_director.762/

on my headphones, I am simply amazed at how these two geniuses worked more than 40 years back on the sound quality and recording perfection with just handful of mics.

http://www.hindu.com/fr/2005/06/10/stories/2005061002690200.htm

Either jointly or individually, they have created ever lasting songs before I was born and I am happy to see them together at their work in my life time.
