"மனிதருள் மாணிக்கம்" படத்தில் "I'll sing for you" பாடல் புதுமைகளால் செதுக்கப்பட்டதாகும்.
8 (beats) * 4 (counts) = 32.
இப்பாடல் சமத்திலிருந்து (from start of the beat) துவங்காமல் 3 மாத்திரைகள் தள்ளி துவங்கும்.
(Finishing sequence in a percussion solo)

Beautiful writeup about Madhavi pon mayilal dear Ram !
And that too in Tamil !
Its a clinical / professional analysis
Besides, coming from a mirudhanga vidhwan like you adds colour .
True. It’s a beautiful compo of MSV .
And don’t forget the combination :
NAdigar thilagam
Natiya peroli
TMS
Valee
This song is a gem & a classic lesson on how to handle a classical ragam like karaharapriya !
I have heard Mr. Madurai Mani ( who was associated with MSV during his halcyon days ) analysis of this song through his cassette .
Shall we say that this song is an epic of a composition !?
All songs from this movie are outstanding ones. Infact, MSV had given a variety like Maharaja oru maharani, kadavul thandha iru malargal , Annamitta kaigalukku, Velli mani osayile .
Finally, Happy married life dear Ram . |

Dear Ram
It is an excellent analysis from you on the great song.
The writing especially its tamil scripts and language are wonderful.
In fact whenever I hear the song (during my morning walk), I used to
accompany the song with Aadi Thala with my hands, I always found a
difference which I used to wonder only , without getting any answer.
Now your article explains that and it is an amazing analysis.
As Saradha wrote : " Mellisai Mannarin Padalkalai thonda thonda idhu
pondara adhisayangal kidaithukkonde irrukkum !!!" - True.
Pl keep writing like this for the benefit of the rasikas and visitors.
Yes .. as you had acknowledged I inspired you listen to MSV's song
and it is your turn - You are inspiring me to write whatever small way I can.
Regards

Dear Ram...
It is an excellent analysis about the song 'Madhavi pon mayilal' from Iru Malargal.
It is a wonderful and evergreen song, which is being heared everyday in any part of the Tamil world. A fentastic composission by the Great Mellaisai Chakravarthi. (As Balaji anna said, the complete Iru Malargal album contains vareities of songs and all are hits too).
You have done a keen analysis with Ragam, Thaalakkattu, Swaram, Beats, Counts etc..etc.., which a musical man (like you) only can do.
I am already amazing on your dad's analysis on 'Oru naal iravil' in PanathOttam, and now you have gone further steps more.
Yes........

Shankarji
Ennai mannikka vendugiren No second thoughts about this beautiful song !
And Ram , I really admire your admiration towards MSV as I have not seen many guys of current generation appreciating or even have the intent to listen to such composers of yesteryears. I dont blame them because the trend is different now & naturally the interests are tuned accordingly.
I must appreciate your parents for having groomed as such . Hats off
The beauty of Mellisai Mannar's music is that its everlasting. One will be hearing even after 50 years . |

Dear Ram,
Thank you for enlightening me on Maadhavi Pon Mayilaal.... But remember the other day when we were listening to this song, came the sangathi... maaaaaaaaaaaadhavi pon mayilaaaaaaaaaaaaal thogai virithaaaaaaaallllllll to end the song!!! What a genius of a composition Ram? The song ends with an amazing ensemble of Pancha Vaadhyam (normally played during Kerala festivals-espicially the Trichur Pooram) which no onle else has dared to use. MSV is a rare phenomenon Ram!!! Please continue and by the way Tamizh Pulavarey, eppadi Ayya tamizhil ivvalu aghagaga.... en kanney pattu vidum polirikkirathu Ram!
Cheers

mr. ram
a deep analysis about 'madhavi pon mayilal' song. we are expecting more and more 'maanikangal' from you.
as balaji sie mentioned, all songs are gems in that film. already saradha madam covered the song 'annamitta kaigalukku', which is in a seperate thread.
s.balaji sir,
you can also cover one song from iru malargal, in your own way of analysis. i noted many occations, when you cover a song, apart from music, you will describe about the piscturisataion also, which give more attraction to the report.
again thank you mr. ram for your glorious writing in tamil. keep it up. |
