நேற்று இரவு 10 மணி அளவில், வெளியே சென்று விட்டு வீடு திரும்ப என் ஸ்கூட்டர் எடுக்க போன சமயம். பக்கத்துக்கு வீட்டிலிருந்து டிவி யில் ஒரு பாடல். அதை பாடியவரின் குரல் என்னை சில நிமிடங்கள் அங்கேயே நிற்க வைத்தன. அந்த பாடல் இது வரை நான் கேட்டதில்லை. நான் கேட்கும் சமயம் சரணம் வந்து கொண்டிருந்தது. கடைசி வரை இருந்து அதன் பல்லவியை மனதில் பதித்து கொண்டு, இன்று என் ஆபீஸ் வந்து அதை மீண்டும் கேட்டேன்.

பாடலின் ராகங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் தாண்டி அவர் பாடிய விதம், என் மனதை சுண்டி இழுத்தது.

அந்த பாடல் 'என்றோ புலவன் பாடியதை நான் இன்றே பாடுகின்றேன்'. படம் 'எங்கள் வாத்தியார்'. பாடலை பாடிய குரலுக்கு சொந்தக்காரர் MSV தவிர வேறு யாராக இருக்க முடியும்.

திரு சோ கூறியபடி அந்த குரலின் வசீகரம் தனி ராகம் தான்.

பாடலின் இனைய தள தொடர்பு கிடைக்கவில்லை.

யாருக்காவது தெரிந்தால் தெரிவிக்கவும்.

Thanks Mr Rengasamy for the Cho’s article in Kumudam. I was also very happy to read it in Kumudam.

While reading this article, I could recall Cho’s comments in one of the “Thuglak” magazine issues in 1977, where he wrote "தமிழ் சினிமா உலகில் எதிரி இல்லாத ஒரே மனிதர் M S விஸ்வநாதன் அவர்கள்தான். அவர் எல்லோராலும் நேசிக்கப்படுபவர், எல்லோருக்கும் வேண்டியவர். தமிழ் சினிமா உலகின் இரு பெரும் ஜாம்பவாங்களான MGR மற்றும் சிவாஜி ஆகிய இருவரும், இரண்டு பேரின் callsheet-க்காகக் காத்திருக்கத் தயார் என்றால் அது (1) நாகேஷ், (2) MSV ஆகியோரின் callsheet-க்காகத்தான்.

(I have already written about this in this forum, but thought it is worth mentioning it again).
