Dear Friends,
I intend looking at the treatment in songs. Yes, to treat a song involves thorough grasp of the movie situation, story line, features of the involved characters, and any relevance to a song to event in the story. These many components determine the the very nature of the song. Look at the present day arrangement of [no lengthy discussion; some lyric is given, set to tune{?} sung , recorded and the hard copy comes to the movie-maker] song making. With all the input in my MSV goes about composing. His mind is charged with the emotions of the characters.
Now, MSV stands in the shoes of the character[s] and starts treatment. What treatment? Even as he gazes the paper he locates an emotional fabric running through the song. He quickly picks the lead word in Pallavi and works on it [just in a flash].
How do we infer these? Oh . Please wait
Warm regards K.Raman Madurai
