Dear Friends,
yAr yAr yAr avaL yArO from KD- MSV [TKR] stable is another poetry in TFM. This song has showcased the issue of 'treatment' of a song in TF in the sense that we are left with the sad lamentation that TFM [lyric +music] has plummeted to the abyss at least among the discernible.

Strictly speaking those were the times when KD and MSV were racing against the clock to keep commitments everywhere and at times were in different movie-making houses discussing story line. That brings us to the point that songs were not composed for the sake of an insertion into a movie sequence.Rather they were pivotal in driving emotions in a manner conducive to all classes of audience, even as they drove the story.
This song is another instance where the line of supremacy for lyric/ music share honours of equal value. To begin the assessment, let us look at the phraseology employed by KD to portray the bondage between the two characters.

Writing out the whole song is not essential, as our mission is to touch upon elements of sophistication in words to suggest emotion.

The beauty of the lyric lies inits polite questioning styles rendered to perfection by PS to the nice low decibel expressions of PBS. Some of them

KaNgaL mayangum kaN aanAL
peNgaL mayangum peN aanAL

'nilavil mayangum iruL aanAL'

ANOTHER SPOT

'manjaL kunkumum malar koNdAL
manadhaiyun sErththu yEn koNdAL?

there are a variety of such references through this number . I request our friends to come out with their observations on this number.
Thank you
Warm regards K. Raman Madurai
