It's my pleasure Mr KRS. Good to know about your displaying MSV slide in cinema theatres. May I know in which city/town you used to do this?

Please listen to two more wonderful melodies of our Master composed by him for another movie of the 80s "வசந்த ராகம்". The movie was a flop, but the songs were super hit.

The first one is a stage number - இதுவரை பாட்டைப் பிரிந்த பாடகநேனக்கு பல்லவி கிடைத்தது - peppy and pacy and beautifully sung by SPB:

The second one is a soft, pleasing number "கண்ணன் மனம் என்னவோ கண்டு வா தென்றலே", sung by S Janaki:

By listening to all these songs, you may notice that each song is totally different from the other. What a genius is MSV?

I am sure you will enjoy these two numbers.

Dear Mr.Venu Sounder.

Sorry for the trouble. I don't know what exactly the problem. I am really sorry. Thanks for your another link Kanchi pattuduthi song from Vayasu ponnu . Really great song and no one can compose songs like this sir. God is great having given such a great brainee master for our country. We should be thankful to God for the same and to our master for producing such greatest memorable songs. Salute to our master.

Regards
krs

Dear Mr SRS,

Thanks for correcting the name of the movie of "Odam" song. I am glad that you have been enjoying the rare gems of our Master that I am posting in this section.

Let's enjoy one more outstanding melody composed by MSV with KJY (lovely humming by BS Sasirekha) - "வீணை பேசும்" from the movie "வாழ்வு என் பக்கம்". No one can use the Veena so thoughtfully and pleasingly to match the lyric, as done by our Master. MSV is THE COMPOSER:

Its time to listen to two delightful numbers composed by our Master with the TMS-LRE combination. Look at the orchestration in both the songs. Amazing.

The first one is "இது வேறுலகம் புது உலகம்" from the film நிச்சய தாம்பூலம்:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhrFCBKCi14

The second one is "பருவத்தில் கொஞ்சம்" from பணம் படைத்தவன்:

Please listen and enjoy.

I forgot to mention, in the இது வேறுலகம் song, the man playing the Accordian is the champion player Mr Mangalamoorthy.

Thanks Venu ji. A superb seductive song not getting the right recognition as other ones overshadowing . This has some splendid Guitar countermelodies ! Panam padaithavan's Kan pona pokkile and this song should qualify for the best of the orchestration , ahead of times then.

And look at the song structuring ! Great work by the duo !

You are most welcome Mr Balaji.

Now, let's listen to 3 outstanding hot numbers composed by our Master with SPB. All the 3 are rare gems.

The first one is "எத்தனை அழகு கொட்டிக்கிடக்குது" from சிவகாமியின் செல்வன், which as we all know is the equivalent of "Roop Tera Mastana" from "Aaradhana". As Roop Tera was such a huge hit, any other MD would have just copied the song as it is or at the maximum made some minor changes to the song. But look at how MSV has come out with an totally different composition using the Accordian, Sax and Flute in a lilting and much better manner:

The second one is a completely contrasting number "படுத்தாள் புரண்டாள்" from வண்டிக்காரன் மகன்:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kTDkvc-8IE

The third one is another wonderful number "மார்கழிப் பனியில்" from முத்தான முத்தல்லவோ , with some exciting yudling effect:

I am sure you would love to hear all the above three songs again and again.

Venu Soundar

Continuing from yesterday, here's one more fantastic MSV-SPB number. The song is "நினைத்துப் பார்க்கிறேன்" from the film அவள் தந்த உறவு.

Please look at the amazing usage of Santoor clubbed with Trumpets and Trambones. Only MSV can do this:

Please listen and enjoy.

Dear Friends,

Wishing you all a very Happy Deepavali. On this happy occasion, let's listen to a fantastic Deepavali occasion song superbly composed by our Master, well penned by Kavignar Kannadasan and as usual excellently sung by TMS. The song is "தாயெனும் செல்வங்கள் தாலாட்டும் தீபம்" from மூன்று தெய்வங்கள். Please watch/listen and enjoy:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lFpu5z0oPU

Please also see my previous posting, where I have given the link for the song "பயணம் பயணம்".

Dear Friends,

Sorry, I was away from station and had a busy schedule. Hence, could not make any postings in the Forum during the last 3 days.

On Deepavali day, it is customary for people to ask each other "என்ன கங்கா ஸ்நாநம் ஆச்சா?". While mentioning கங்கா, I immediately recollect the tiltle song of the Tamil TV serial "கங்கா யமுனா சரஸ்வதி", superbly composed by MSV and sung by Hariharan. The Master himself starts the song with a lovely humming. Please listen to it and enjoy:

Let's listen to another amazing composition of our Master from the movie "பால் குடம்". The song is துணிந்து நில் தொடர்நது செல் தோல்வி கிடையாது தம்பி superbly, as usual, sung by TMS. Look at the outstanding orchestration - piano, violins, accordian, trumpets, guitar, flute as well as whistling. Kavignar Vaali's lyric is also wonderfully written and the lines are as follows:

thuninthu nil thodarnthu sel tholvi kidaiyaathu thambi
ullathai sol nallathai sei theivam iruppathai nambi

manithan manithanaaga illai yen
solbutthi suyabutthi irandumillai
ithayam ithayamaaga illai yen
iruppathai veliye uraippathillai
arivu thelinthathaaga illai adutthavan vaazhvai poruppathillai
vaazhvu sulabamaanathillai yen
sonnathai seithavan evanumillai
thuninthu

kangal thavaru seivathundu yen
kallukkum paalukkum ore niram
ullam poigal solvathundu yen
porulukkum pugazhukkum aasaipadum
evanum mirugamaavathundu yen
kuranggukkum manathukkum uravu undu
avane thevanaavathundu thaan
solvathil seivathil naermai kondu
thuninthu

Here's the link to the song and please enjoy it:

Please listen to 3 more excellent songs from "பால் குடம்":

1. முழு நிலவின் திருமுகத்தில் களங்கமில்லையோ, by P.Suseela.

http://www.inbaminge.com/t/p/Paal%20Kudam/

2. மல்லிகைப்பூ வாங்கி வந்தேன், by SPB and PS

http://www.inbaminge.com/t/p/Paal%20Kudam/

3. என் வாலிபம் என்னும் மாளிகையில் இவள்தான் இளவரசி, by TMS & LRE

http://www.inbaminge.com/t/p/Paal%20Kudam/

All these are wonderful songs and could hardly be heard/seen on Radio/TV channels.

Venu Soundar
