Dear friends,
There are innumerable videos of film songs of all languages composed by Mellisai Mannar posted in youtube. Many fans from throughout the globe of film stars acknowledge them with their comments and views. Very rarely I come across the names of our forum members posting or thanking or commenting on the videos. There was a much hue and cry about film stars by some friends but I do not know why they do not show the same vigor and spirit in acknowledging the videos. Instead of finding fault with the fans of film stars, why don't MSVians acknowledge those videos - you may either appreciate or criticise that is different. But do post your views.
On my part, I admit, I haven't posted any comment so far as MSVian, but hereafter going to do it.

You are right Mr. Raghavendran. I have also felt sorry that most of MSV's song postings in the net have no comments.
I have posted a few comments. For one song from a film in 80's (a beautiful melody from a Sivaji film but I don't recall the name immediately), I wrote, "how is it that MSV has been able to come out with more and more enchanting melodies even after giving so many songs?" expressing my amazement. Pat came the reply from the person who had posted the song "Because he is MSV!"
By the way, I am happy to see your several postings. _________________ P Rengaswami (9381409380)

Dear Parthavi sir,
Is it Vendum vendum undhan uravu ? ( SPB and Vani Jayaram )
This was Sridhar's movie I think .
To my memory, this was one melodious song of the 80s for Nadigar Thilagam. |

Spurred by the interest shown by M/s Balaji and Baskar, I searched and found the song. It is 'poo manakkum poonguzhali' from Raththa paasam.' Here's the link. You can also see my comment there.

Parthavi sir,
Poo manakkum is a nice song with an element of Raga kalyani in it ! There will be a trademark Tabla typical MSVish !
I overlooked Rathapasam movie as it was released in 1980...
The song which I had mentioned is from Vasandhathil oru naal ...... |

Dear Balaji,
Vendum vendum is also an excellent number. There are many such gems of MSV in 1980's which even some MSV fans might have missed. Our Raghasusha has listed many such gems under the thread 'Mellisai Mannar in 80's'. _________________ P Rengaswami (9381409380)
