Respected elders and dear friends,
It is a nice and apt suggestion to start the year with one of the gems of our master's composition. Thanks for the choice!
May we all request the Almighty to bestow on us many more happy occasions this year too! May we also plead with Him to bestow on us and the millions of our master's fans to enable creations of valuable musical albums - be it films, ghazals, devotionals, stage shows, TV shows, or even remixes! May some rare gems of literary creations in our language be converted into memorable musical albums by him.
Thanks,
Sai Saravanan |

Dear friends,
This new year began well with an evening interview of a musician by name 'S. Nathan' in Podhigai TV channel. He plays flute, saxophone and clarinet. He plays for many music directors (having started from Deva, Chandrabose, etc.) currently. He literally showered praise on our master and claimed that he was charmed by his music. He appears to have created musical albums of MM's songs using his saxophone, and wanted to popularise MM's songs like KennyG's creations! A true devotee!
The next feature was that of Gangai Amaran in Mega TV. This show featured him interviewing a host of singers. He virtually trapped the person named 'Sriram' when he asked his favourite no.1 music director when he replied (obviously) as IR! GA did not leave him scot-free until he (GA) made his point that MM was his god and he alone is the master who provided life to many like himself. An interesting episode indeed!
Regards,
Sai Saravanan |

Dear Mr.Sai Saravanan,
While bringing the crux of the matter, you have been overtaken by your sense of appreciation for Gangai Amaran and Mr. Nathan. So, you have lightly passed off their critical observation /utterance.
Gangai Amaran while partly agreeing with Sriram's choice of IR, added ''there may be several GODs or smaller versions but the ultimate is The 'ParamporuL', which is only MSV -for it is only 'ParamporuL' who can truly set things in motion. [Without MSV's influence there is no TFM].
As for Mr.Nathan, he has also worked with MSV's troupe. He holds all of them in high reverence; he added 'MSV's notes are exceedingly intricate to reproduce and so I wish to create sax albums of his songs'. I feel these two gentlemen made sincere observations about MM's grandeur on Day 1 0f 2012. A fine start.
Warm regards K.Raman Madurai _________________ Prof. K. Raman
